Busy year for SIA in 2012

Under the leadership of President Nick Hurd, the SIA Board is working to honor the SIA mission by looking for ways to improve the general welfare of all Southport residents. A number of new recipients of SIA funds were added in 2011, and it is anticipated that additional worthy organizations will be added in 2012. Another significant accomplishment in 2011 was the addition of a number of new members, moving total membership up from 366 to 473. During the season, SIA will host several social activities which are fund-raisers that significantly contribute to the availability of funds used to meet our mission.
